The Sommières appelation est le vignoble le plus oriental de l’Appellation d’Origine Protégée Languedoc. L’aire de production est constituée de 18 communes dans le Gard et produit environ 863 Hl of wine.
The soils are gravel on hard chalk, soft limestone, limestone scree and colluvial deposits. The climate is Mediterranean with a continental climate influence of the Rhone type.
About six hectares of Domaine Trépaloup are classified as AOC Languedoc and have been classed under the Sommières appellation since 2010. AOP Languedoc et ont été identifiés depuis 2010 en appellation Sommières.
